Holiday Updates: Yoko Ono, Imagene Peise, Womb Gallery

1) Yoko Ono has released a new version of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” with The Flaming Lips, one of 43 holiday tunes collected on Amazon Prime’s free seasonal stream “All is Bright.” The collection includes renditions of holiday classics from Amanda Palmer, the Tom Tom Club, Ladyhawke and many others; plus new originals from Liz Phair, Anna Nalick, Blondfire and more. 2) Last month it was announced Imagene Peise Atlas Eets Christmas album will be released on vinyl for the first time on Black Friday Record Store Day (more details here). Now there’s another option. On December 2nd it will also be available on CD and digital formats, marking the first wide spread commercial release. Pre-orders for individual tracks or the whole album in these formats are up now¬†here.

3) Jingle Bell Rocks! Doc – a new documentary about alternative Christmas music featuring an exclusive performance from The Flaming Lips – will also be available starting Black Friday on DVD. It screens tonight at America’s largest documentary film fest, DOC NYC.
