Fresh off her provocative set at Glastonbury last weekend, Cate Le Bon has
announced she’ll curate her own festival in West Wales, Cate Le Bon Presents Mas Mas. Set for August 28th on the banks of the river Teifi, the festival will host Perfume Genius, Euros Childs, Sweet Baboo, R. Seiliog, H. Hawkline, Gwenno and Castro on two stages, plus a DJ set by Andy Votel and Paul Thompson of Franz Ferdinand. Cate says of the festival that she is “thrilled to have such a wonderful throng of Welsh talent and Welsh music enthusiasts join me on the beautiful banks of the river Teifi and wildly excited to welcome the resplendent Perfume Genius into the thick of West Wales.”
Along with the announcement Cate has released a stream of a previously unreleased song, “Solitude” – to be issued on a limited edition 7″ with “He’s Leaving” exclusively for the festival and Cate’s UK September tour to follow. “He’s Leaving” was previously only available as a free promo download. Both were recorded during the sessions for Mug Museum and are streaming below (download “He’s Leaving” if you haven’t already). Also below check the schedule for Cate’s newly announced September tour with H. Hawkline and watch her at Glasto last Saturday, or stream her entire set here (and stream full sets from Jack White, Arcade Fire and others at Glastonbury here and here).
