The album cover art and logo design was created by Robert Beatty, and “expanded upon” by Lips frontman Wayne Coyne with his longtime collaborator for Lips visuals, DELO Creative’s George Salisbury. Beatty’s long resume includes many other album covers that those reading this site likely know and love: Tame Impala Currents (as well as all its singles cover art, ie “Eventually,” etc), Peaking Lights Lucifer, Neon Indian VEGA INTL. Night School, Mondo Drag self-titled, and the logo for Real Estate “Days,” among them.
The LP cover is printed with fluorescent inks so it changes color under light:
