Rare Swans Comp ‘Die Tür Ist Zu’ To Be Released On Vinyl For The First Time Ever On Record Store Day

Swans will release 1996 compilation Die Tur 1st on vinyl for the first time April 21st for Record Store Day. Translating to The Door Is Closed in German, Die Tur 1st features an odds and ends mix of tracks recorded live in concert and at a VPRO radio session, German-language versions of songs that appeared later in ’96 on Soundtracks for the Blind, and outtakes (including “You Know Everything” from 1991’s White Light from the Mouth of Infinity sessions and previously released on the Celebrity Lifestyle CD single). Only released in Germany on CD, Virtual Records will press 2500 copies of this new double LP version as a RSD Exclusive Release. The flipside of the second disc features an etching by Swans leader Michael Gira.
