Bigger news still – today the fest announced “a fine arts component” – an art show to benefit the Bob Moog Foundation.
moogfest/activities/synth reports, “SYNTH: A Group Art Show Inspired by Bob Moog, is a showcase of hand made limited-edition screen prints inspired by Bob Moog’s legacy. Pieces in the show include a variety of styles of work from some of the top concert poster artists and graphic designers working today. This year SYNTH will also have a very special guest artist. Wayne Coyne (from the Flaming Lips) will be creating a limited edition print special for the art show. Wayne is an amazing visual artist and his contribution to SYNTH is sure to be incredible. Each artist will contribute their own print to be sold at the show in very limited quantities. All proceeds from the sales will go to support the Bob Moog Foundation. Special thanks to the Satellite Gallery for their help with the show. Stay tuned for details and gallery times.”
