Portland’s college radio station KPSU is teaming with Musicfest NW on February 6th-8th for self-proclaimed “psychedelicstonerrockmicrofest” Sabertooth. The event will take over the Crystal Ballroom’s entire premises, starting in the Ringlers room on Friday, February 6th at 5pm with Freak Mountain Ramblers, featuring members of the Holy Modal Rounders. Other rooms that night will host Jay Cobb Anderson (of The Villians, Fruition) and “vintage cartoons and other visual pleasures” and the main stage will host Nothing, Black Pussy and headliners Sleep. The Minders and The Shivas play night two, with Kurt Vile and The Violators headlining. The finale on February 8th will be headlined by Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Morgan Delt and Wampire supporting. This will be part of Stardeath’s West Coast winter tour which kicks off in Denver on February 2nd, includes stops in Salt Lake City on the 4th, Boise on the 5th, and Seattle on the 7th with Morgan Delt. It winds down to California – Oakland on the 10th, Los Angeles the 11th – and concludes in Vegas on the Valentine’s Day.
