Wayne Coyne personally delivered The Flaming Lips collaborative EP with Lightning Bolt to a Boston meet-and-greet on July 26, 2011. Soon after it leaked on the web, but the fan that converted the tracks from vinyl to digital accidentally ripped them in mono (as heard in my previous uploads of the EP, and consequentially, all over the web). Below are all four tracks from the limited edition record as they were meant to be heard… in new, corrected STEREO videos…
Each vinyl copy of the EP is a one-of-a-kind, psychedelic design by Daniel Huffman (aka New Fumes), as seen in his photos below. In fact, the records are partly made with Daniel’s sweat – unsurprising and unavoidable given the record-setting heat-wave where the records were made: A&R Records in Dallas (which has had 100+ degree temperatures virtually every day since June).
Though initially only available at Boston’s Newbury Comics, the 12″ multi-color vinyl are now selling at several stores. Follow updates on new stores stocking the record at twitter/FutureHeartDay.
