The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger – Sean Lennon’s latest band with Charlotte Kemp Muhl – played a free concert at South Street Seaport, Pier 17 on Friday, June 24th. To get a hint of it watch their set opening for The Flaming Lips’ “Soft Bulletin Live 2011” opening night (May 19, 2011), courtesy of Jim Charna (seriously folks, if you like proggy psych-rock check this link out – it’s edited from two cameras; you won’t find better Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger footage anywhere).
Improv comedian/ actor/ musician Reggie Watts appeared at Central Park’s SummerStage on June 22, 2011 and at Red Hook Park on June 24th – both free.
