UPDATE – The list lovers at acclaimedmusic.net averaged together the world’s 200 or so most influential magazines and websites’ Album of the Year 2014 lists into a massive spreadsheet, downloadable here. Their full report sorts the 1632 albums that appeared on these end of year lists by the home of the listmaker, allowing for easy comparison of how particular releases were ranked in America versus the UK and the rest of the world, as well as how each individual album fared on every list it was included. The overall top 15 albums are below. Note for instance that Damon Albarn’s Everyday Robots is #11 overall, but only #75 among American sources.
